The New York Giants head into the 2025 NFL Draft with eight picks as of right now. They have a chance to address some of these issues within the first four rounds since they hold the 3rd, 34th, 65th, 99th, and 105th picks overall. What is really nice is having that swing at the end of the third and the beginning of the fourth that may have some teams knocking at the door for a trade, if they want to move up.
Quarterback
One of Russell Wilson or Jameis Winston looks like they will be the starting quarterback for the Giants after signing l them both through Free Agency. That doesn’t mean that they can’t explore options at the 34th pick if someone like Jalen Milroe slips to them at this pick.
Defensive Line
If you’re wondering why I didn’t suggest Cam Ward, it’s because I feel Abdul Carter would be a steal if they could get him at the third spot. Combined with Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux, this defensive line would give people nightmares.
Offensive line
There was no room for Tyrone Tracy or Devin Singletary to run last year. This year, the Giants have tried to address that situation through free agency. However, their fourth-round pick would be perfect for a lineman like Jared Wilson or Emery Jones Jr., if he’s still available.
Linebacker
The Giants have a pretty good linebacking crew, but they lack depth, and Burns or Thibodeaux is usually running a stunt or blitzing; they need someone to pick up the slack. Smael London Jr. could be available by the time they pick later in the draft, which would add depth and be a potential starter for the future.
Cornerback
The Giants secondary wasn’t good by any standard last year, and if they felt that Carter wasn’t the way to go, they could use their third pick on Will Johnson. They could wait till their second or third-round pick and select players like Jahdae Barron or Trey Amos.
