NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars Top 5 Most Important Players In 2025

The Jaguars had a terrible 2024 season, finishing the year with a 3-14 record. However, new head coach Liam Coen will look to get more out of the Jaguars’ talented young offense. Here are the top five most important players for the Jaguars.

5. Foyesade Oluokun, LB

Oluokun is one of the most productive linebackers in the NFL, albeit for a struggling Jags defense. He racked up over 170 total tackles for Jacksonville in 2022 and 2023, and recorded 108 in 2024 despite missing four games.

4. Travon Walker, DE

After a subpar rookie year in 2022, the former No. 1 pick has emerged as a force off the edge. Walker picked up 10 sacks in 2023 and 10.5 in 2024, and at just 24 years of age, he can still reach another level.

3. Brian Thomas Jr., WR

Thomas Jr. stepped into the Jaguars’ offense in 2024 as a first-round rookie and dominated from the jump. His crisp route-running, sensational body control and blistering speed translated perfectly to the NFL. Thomas Jr. gained 1,282 yards and scored 10 touchdowns, earning a well-deserved Pro Bowl nod.

2. Trevor Lawrence, QB

While Lawrence certainly played worse than some other players on this list last season, getting him back in form will be paramount for Jacksonville’s success in 2025. Despite dealing with poor play and injuries the last two years, Lawrence is still just 25 years old and showed his potential in a great 2022 season.

1. Josh Hines-Allen, DE

Young and productive pass-rushers are hot commodities in the NFL, and Hines-Allen is one of said commodities. He had a monster 17.5-sack season in 2023, and he recorded eight sacks in a solid 2024 campaign.
